Well, I had fully intended to keep this blog up about where God is leading Oaks and me in this next few years. However, FNP school is hard.
This first semester was 3 classes, Advanced Physical Assessment, Advanced Patho-physiology and Advanced Pharmocotherapeutics for Nurse Practitioners. That may not sound hard to you but believe me, it was a lot of work and a lot of prayer as many of you know who have been called on for prayer.
Only by God’s grace and His provision and a lot of hard work was I able to finish this first semester. The work and the material is awesome, it is so interesting and so important in what is to come in my life going forward that I loved it every minute of it. Trying to work, plan mission trips, study, do Bible studies, order medications, inventory etc( you get the picture) along with the studying is the hard part.
The next semester is Care of the Adult Patient and this semester starts clinical hours with an MD and a NP. I will be doing about 16 hours weekly in their offices working with them and learning from them. Praise God for his provision of 2 practitioners to work with and in the fact that I know He placed me where he wants me to be and what he wants me to learn, who I will be in contact with and working with.
Pray for this next semester of school. Money has been provided for books and tuition this next semester, WHAT A BLESSING!
Pray for the team going to Haiti in February and in June of 2013. Pray for Oaks as we move forward in what God has asked us to do. Pray for clear direction, good ability to recall and learn what I need to learn and to follow HIM the way he wants me to; not running ahead or lagging behind but just placing my feet in his foot prints daily.
