November trip update

The team went to Haiti November 1-8., 2012. It was the first time that I have not been able to go but thanks to Becky Dunlap for her great leadership under the Lord. The team did very well, got along, went to new places and did a great work for the Lord.
They saw over 700 people and best of all 22 people came to know Jesus. That is amazing and helps us to know that God is going ahead of us as we pray to soften the hearts of the people and to bring those to himself.
They had a tough time going up to Coupe Pleasir, just tough in the physical sense of carrying the totes up a mountain. But God blessed and people were saved and I guess from reports physically as well.
The God stories are for me just the best. Here are some excepts from some of them:
“Ray said the medical teams have the biggest 1 one 1 impact.”
“I loved how everyone worked together as a team.”
“I began speaking with her and sharing the Word of the Lord and she decided to accept Jesus into her life. I am going to be honest, I was still nervous at this point, I wasn’t sure if she was serious about accepting the Lord into her life but I was quickly reassured, Sunday morning I was sitting in the pew when the pastor came to the podium and asked for any one that had accepted the Lord to please come forward, and the the lady went, with the biggest smile on her face”.
“To me, it made me very aware of God definitely working in areas of Haiti. Even with all the evil and in a place where parents choose to see a medical professional instead of letting their very sick child see one, God is working in people’s lives to mild them into His image. So awesome!”
When God is at work in our lives and in the lives of those we touch, that is confirmation of us “following” Him where He leads. That is the place as Christians that we all want to be, walking in steps just behind our Savior as he quietly leads us where He wants us to go.
Haiti in November was that way. The team was in unity, led by Jesus, quietly and steadily doing His will and in this; many came to know Him as their Savior. That is what and where He would like to see us daily, in Haiti, in the States, in our work, in our schools, in our families, quietly and steadily following Him as He leads us. In the following He will show us where to step, He will give us words to say and He will get all the praise and all the glory!!!
