Our team has been busy studying Colossians and now we are on chapter 3 in the book. Looking over the first 3 verses we see the assurance of the Lord for his people from the NLT, “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of this earth. For you died to this life and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.”
I would like to encourage you in this, your real life is not here on this earth, it is with Christ in the heaven. We are strangers and aliens on this earth. That is why sometimes things are so hard and we feel that we don’t belong. Well, we don’t we are just passing through. So take heart and be encouraged when the world fights against you, one day you will share in the glory of Christ and be in HIS presence.
So as we study and prepare to go to Haiti, I encourage you to also be putting on the armor for your mission whatever that may be.
Pray for us as we prepare, Bob, Becky, Joyce, Mike, Shelley, Lisa, Kenny, Natalie, Cathy, Mark, Demaris, Cindy. Pray for those we will touch, pray with and talk to, that God is preparing their hearts to hear the good news of the gospel that we will impart, pray for spiritual battles that may come between now and then and for God to lead and us to follow. Always!
